Hello
Family, I hope everyone has prepared themselves for this New Year!
I believe
the Lord has a lot in store for us the only thing for us to do is to trust in
him and God will do the rest. I got the opportunity to speak to the President
at the Coventry University Student Union. He shares his story with us and how
God ordered his steps to the position he occupies today.
Adebowale
Adeboye Adebiyi has always had a great passion for leadership and doing this in
such a way that would impact his Generation and the people around him. He has
always believed in change and being the authentic you. He was the
representation & welfare officer for the year 2015/2016. Before even standing for
his position Adebowale needed a confirmation from God before preparing himself
for the campaign. God showed himself strong and equiped him to fulfill his
position the best he could. His dedication and hard work has pushed him forward
where he is currently the President at Coventry University Student Union.
This is the scripture that kept him going all these years :
|Matthew 5:13-16|
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven
A Word of
encouragement from Adebowale ‘’When we strive to be just like everyone else,
we never have a chance to be special. When you start to embrace and even
celebrate how special and different God made you, you can begin to do
extraordinary things. You can begin to see yourself through His eyes. You can
begin to live in the uniqueness with which you were created. You can be
motivated and inspired to go against the norm.''
